We did little video ideas, practising fighting techniques, that I found, and putting them into our practise. To make it look professional, we decided that we would need to use a varied amount of shots, making the pace of our production quick, helping to build the idea of a "natural" fight. To add to the professional idea, we looked up ways to make a punch look realistic. The video follows me, Faith, and Nicky all attempting different shot ideas, and practising them.
Looking back, I believe that the shot where I punch Faith was most effective, and looked realistic, even though I was not near her. The audience had a clear view, and with a bit of tweaking would look very realistic. Due to Faith's reaction time (of which is crucial to show the punch hitting, as a little bit late, and the punch would seem off.)
If we added music, and we will to our actual film, it should help build tension during the fight, and keep the audience on the edge of their seat. We must also make it sound heavy, as Action lovers love "sound porn".
I believe that I would have to make the crunching of the foot more realistic, as you can clearly see, I don't knee her, or stand on her foot. I would need to use precise camerawork angles to make sure that it looked realistic, alike the punch that worked well.
