I decided to Watch Peekaboo, of which I found in OCR media Weebly's page
The shots in the first part of the film were very creative, and imaginative. I specifically liked the shot of the light and the rocking seat, as they are not commonly seen. This would help to promote the film, since it could include shots that not many other films do include. I feel that The black and white filter does nothing to add to the horror conventions. Just before you can hear the phone ring, you can hear the sound of a phone dialing. I am not sure if this is meant to be there, or has been missed, and if it was meant to be there, I also do not fully understand why it is there.
However, there are many different shot types, and lots of transitions that make the filming seem a lot more professional. I will make sure that in our media piece also, we will add a lot of different shot types, to make ours seem professional.
However, I noticed that during each shot outside, I could hear the changing of wind speed and sound, especially when shots changed. This made the piece altogether less realistic and made it feel un-continuous. I will make sure that during our piece, I shall put a effect upon my tracks to make sure that the audience cannot hear the transitions between our shots, therefore creating it a more realistic media product.
At 1:41 You can hear the clicking of the camera, and equipment, and I shall try to cover up any sounds our camera makes, or redo shots if needed.
