Makeup and Filming

Make up

After arriving at Faith's house, we decided upon what makeup to use, and how to make it look realistic. Faith began with a purple colour, and added different shades to it to layer the colour. She followed the makeup tutorial that we used, and after half an hour, she had created a realistic bruise upon Nicky's face. I then applied the fake blood on her nose, so it looked like she had been in a fight. Using a brush, we made it look less precise, and more messy.

She then began on my face and after a few attempts gave up with the make up. I took control, and stood myself in front of her mirror, and began to use a mix of black, brown and purple, making the strength of the colour fade more, and become skin like. Gradually i created a large punch like bruise on the side of my face. I then put a   bit of brown beneath my fake blood, before applying the fake blood upon my face.

We decided to give Nicky a big bruise across her neck, as if she had been strangled, since her character was spotted being strangled.

After the hour of makeup, we began the indoor scene. We made sure we could get as many different shots as possible, keeping the audience interested. We made sure the lighting wasn't too dark, and we could clearly see what was going on.

However, before any of the makeup was done, we did an outdoor shoot, since it became dark quickly, and we did not want it to be too dark for our scene. This was the problem the last time we did any recording, and it became unclear as to what was happening in the shot.
