Our first initial idea was that this girl was in a dream, who was greeted by some ninjas. They would explain that she was the key to a mission. However, we realised that this would probably be practically impossible, as none of us are professional with ninja moves and it could become comedic if we weren't careful. However, we agreed that due to having to be too careful, we decided against it.
We talked about the genre, and decided upon genre's. We strongly agreed not to do comedy or thriller as they were typically cliche, and we want ours to stand out. We then decided upon the Horror or Action theme. I decided upon an action adventure opening, and they both agreed to the theme. This would open up ideas and allow my imagination to run loose. We felt that this would compliment our imagination as we all had a big heart towards the Genre we have chose.
After much of a talk, we decide to go with a opening, that will be set around a table, with the cast of Me Nicky and Faith. We then started to look into fight sequences, to see if we could manage to do one, without making it look stupid. This would be the main part of our sequence, if we are going to do one. We then went back to the horror idea although we had initially not wanted to do it. We looked at it in a different way, and not the stereotypically way (the woods or forest or scary house for example, because they are too cliché) but we realised that we could add certain conventions of the horror to our piece, which would keep a spooky element of it. We then came up with a genius idea, that had been inspired by Faith. She suggested that there were three people at a table, two of which acknowledge each other, signalling to one another. One of them reaches for the knife that lays on the table slowly, and then it starts to speed up.
The target audience will be from 14-25 year olds,as the action sequence will be interesting to watch for those ages.
